What Is History Through Story?
History Through Story is a literature-based history curriculum built around the beloved American Girl historical characters. Each unit uses one character’s story as a springboard to explore the real people, places, and events of that time period with care, depth, and age-appropriate activities.
The Vision: A 3-Year American History Program
I am designing this curriculum as a flexible three-year program. Each year will consist of six American Girl historical characters covering key time periods and cultural perspectives. It is designed to be flexible — you can use it as a full American History program or choose individual units or aspects of American history on which to focus.
